My First Blog Post

Joining Passions.

Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.

— Oscar Wilde.

For as long as I can remember my two passions have been learning and moving. I chase opportunities and follow them through to the best of my ability and see where the next journey of life will take me. I started my first job at age 13 delivering newspapers every morning before school and on weekends washing dishes at my local RSL. I was playing netball in Melbourne on a Thursday night, Saturday’s locally and Sunday’s were netball or basketball tournaments or training. The rest of my life has seemed to follow suit learning, moving, working and chasing dreams.

Today 15 years later I find myself just as confused as I was in high school but with the same passions, an amazingly supportive husband and 3 incredible daughters. How do I decide what my future should look like when the opportunities are endless? I want to be an amazing mother who has all the time in the world to help my children have an amazing life. I want to train for my next adventure and include my family along for the ride. I want to do further study but where to start? I am eager to start teaching again but anxious about how it will impact my families lives? I want to expand my fitness business but want to keep its intimate nature. I want to teach people the benefits of Essential Oils, but how to do this with such a busy schedule as it is? I want to have answers to all these questions, direction and coordinate them, while not compromising the life I have with my family.

The purpose of this blog is to track my journey and share some tips along the way.

This is the first post on my new blog. I’m just getting this new blog going, so stay tuned for more. Subscribe below to get notified when I post new updates.

I'm a mother of 2 beautiful girls and live on a dairy farm with my hardworking husband in South Gippsland. I am a Primary School Teacher with a Major in Physical Education and also a Qualified Personal Trainer with a love of Learning, Health, Fitness and imparting all I know to strengthen the lives, bodies and minds of those around me. These passions and the hunt for a good balance between being a mother, contributing to my community and helping to support my family had me to exploring options and along came Kangatraining! Why Kangatraining when I already work as a personal trainer can be answered in 4 words 'safe for new mothers!' I have lots of mums coming to my mainstream classes but I was not educated enough on what is and is not safe and as much as we say our venue is kid friendly, activities are not structured with the children in mind! This is what I love about Kanga!
